At 'Wellington yesterday, Frederick Murphy, aged 39, a salesman, pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial on a charge of breaking and entering the house of C. M. Ellison, Karori, with intent to commit theft. The allegation was that on returning home Ellison found a man there who said he was looking for the house of some people named Stone, and had been sent to mend a leaking waterpipe. After he got inside, however, Ellison found the house had been ransacked, though nothing was missing.—Press Association.

Save the pieces. We repair all breaks promptly either in lenses or frames. H. J. Webber (F. 1.0. Lend.), Optician. Near Post Office.*
