CAR CAPSIZES IN CREEK
OCCUPANTS’ NARROW ESCAPE FROM DROWNING. (Per Press Association.! Auckland, Jan. 6. Pinned in a motor car when it swerved from the road near Penrose on Saturday evening and partially capsized in five feet of water, C. M. Cox, his wife and son had a narrow escape from drowning. Cox scrambled clear and dragged out his wife, who was semi-conscious from striking her head, and extricated with difficulty his son, who was pinned beneath the scat. Artificial respiration had to be used to restore the son to consciousness.
