The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson paid a farewell visit to Masterton to-day. They were entertained at luncheon by the Borough Council, at which there was a large and representative gathering. Later Their Excellencies were accorded a publi< farewell, there being a large attendance from all over the district. They returned to Wellington this afternoon.—Press Assn. Madame Guy Maunder has gone to Wellington for the Christmas holidays, and will be back in Hastings at the end of next week.
