NELSON MAKES RECOVERY five WICKETS FOR 131. ALLOM TAKES THREE FOR TWELVE. Nelson, Dec. 21. On resuming the M.O.C. match after lunch Duleepsinhji, who was sending down twisty ones, had Neale caught on the leg side. He batted 90 minutes. In the next over Allom skittled Newman. Four wickets were dow-n for 75 and Allom then had three wickets for six runs off eight overs. Eden and Jenkins came to light with a bright partnership of 58 for the fifth wicket, Duleepsinhji proving expensive in one over. Eden hit two fours, a sixer and another four off consecutive balls from the Indian, making 19 off the over. Eden made 30 in 30 minutes and 100 runs were made in 110 minutes. Frequent bowling changes were made without effect until Nichols took the first wicket, Cornford brilliantly catching Jenkins behind the stumps. Soon after three o’clock rain set in and stumps were drawn, Nelson having five wickets down for 131. The wicket was covered. Scores:—
