HASTINGS CITIZENS’ BAND

QUEEN’S SQUARE CONCERT ON SUNDAY NIGHT. The Hastings Citizens’ Band will again occupy the Queen’s Square rotunda on Sunday evening, when another of its popular, first-class programmes will be given. Each recital shows an improvement in the playing of the band, and at the last performances the public showed its appreciation by frequent applause. Each programme played includes a hymn, and on this occasion a Christmas carol will be played in honour of the festive season. The band hopes that these recitals from now on will be largely attended, as it hopes to attend the band championships at Dunedin next February to defend its newly-won title
