(Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Town Board was held on Monday n.ght. Present: Messrs J. N. Barrie (chair), A. G. Clark, A. 11. Bull and A. Ac-ott. The clerk reported that all legal ar rangements had been completed with the proposed water scheme, and hat it was now ready to go before the Loans Board. The bank-book showed a credit, bal once of £32 5s 2d, and the pay-sheet, to the amount of £36 Ils 3d was passed for payment. During the cast half year only 8s has been paid in interest on overdraft. A number of routine matters wore attended to, and this completed the board’s work for 1929. The next meeting will be hel l on January 6. The local tradesmen have decided to observe the same closing days hiring Christmas and New Year, as neighbouring towns.
