LOST FOR A FORTNIGHT
FEARS FOB EIELSON AND HIS MATE. ALL EFFORTS TO LOCATE THEM FAIL. (United Preen Association—By CableCopyrlght.i (Received 5, 12.55 p.m.) Vancouver. Dee. 4. A message from Nome states that Eielson, the aviator, and a mechanic, Borland, have been lost for a fortnight, and all efforts to locate them have failed. Pilot Dorbandt and Eielson recently made two trips to the steamer Nanuk, which is ice bound at North Cape, Silheria, and brought to Nome furs worth a fortune. Eielson became lost on the third trip. There are fears that he has starved or been frozen, though there is always the possibility that the intrepid north erner is hibernating with Eskimos somewhere during the remainder of the winter. . .
