Vol. 5), by Pride of Newton (12280). This young stallion was a very valuable member of the recently dispersed Maraekakaho Stud. His sire, Bonnie Dene, has hod a very successful career in the Moore-Huntor Stud and has left a large number of championship winners. His dam, Bessie Salisbury, goes back to Lord Salisbury, a great horse in his day. Bonnio Lad was twice first and champion at Hawke’s Bay Shows and was second, at Manawatu Royal in 1924.
