INDIA POLICY

VICEROY’S DECLARATION. MR. BALDWIN’S QUESTION. (United Press Association—By Cable— Copyrignt.) (Received 12, 1.45 p.m.) London, Nov. 11. The Rt. Hon. Stanley Baldwin today wrote to the Prime Minister pointing out that Captain Wedgwood Benn had not answered his question whether the Viceroy’s declaration implied any change of policy or period in which dominion status might be attained. Ho admitted that the question had been answered in the House of Lords but felt that the Leader of the House of Commons should also reply. Mr. MacDonald replied that the answer to both portions of the question was in the negative.
