Load Lines of Ships: Two rules for determining the maximum load lines of British merchant ships are proposed by a committee appointed by the President of the Board of Trade in 1927. The committee suggests that, in view of the general understanding that an international conference of merchant ships will be convened in the near future with the object of obtaining an international agreement on the subject, the adoption of the rules be postponed until the result of the conference is known.
