ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A married woman, Charlotte Emma Thurston, aged 45 years, who resided at North-East Valley, Dunedin, died suddenly in an office in Dunedin yesterday morning while conversing with the manager. An inquest was held yesterday afternoon at which medical evidence showed that death was due to cerebral embolism, a clot of blood blocking one of the large passages to the brain. The coroner returned a verdict accordingly. An unusual accident yesterday resulted in the removal to the Dunedin Hospital with a compound fracture of the nose of Harold Crawford, aged 23, an employee of a service station. He was removing a tyre from a car wheel when the tube burst, blowing the rim against his face.
