SOVIET-CHINESE DISPUTE
SETTLEMENT BEACHED. RUSSIA AGREES TO PROPOSALS. [United Press Association—By CableCopyright.] [Australian and N.Z. Press Association.! Moscow, Aug. 31. The Soviet Government has agreed to the Chinese Government’s proposal to sign a joint declaration settling their disputes. The text of the agree ment states that both parties agree to settle all pending questions in conformity with the agreement of 1924, especially as regards redemption of the Chinese Eastern Railway. The Soviet Government is reappointing the manager thereof, and both parties Will immediately release all those arrested since May 1, 1929.
