CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS. NAPIER LADIES WIN THE DOUBLES. Auckland. Sept. 1. The New Zealand Badminton championships were concluded yesterday. Results:— Men’s Singles.—J. R. Southern Ladies’ Singles.—Miss A. Ellett. Men’s Doubles.—Kelly and McLean Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs Hetley and Mrs Harvey (Napier). Combined Doubles—Miss Ellett and Kelly. Tbe previous holders were: —T. Kelly (Parnell), in the men’s singles; Mrs A. Hetley (Napier) in the women’s singles; and Mrs Hetley and Mrs F. N. Harvey in the women’s doubles. Tho mixed and men’s doubles titles were not defended by tho holders, the pair in the first case being out of New Zealand, while in the men’s doubles Wilson, who partnered Crecd-Mercdith last year, was unable to play. Meredith was this year partnered by Austin, another Wanganui player.
