Comebacks and crossbreds sold readily at late rates. Greasy Merino made 27Jd. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT The Department of Agriculture has dated 2nd instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. London ; Tallow: Spot market steady and business is fair for shipment. Present quotations for spot are :—Mutton ; Fine 44s 6d to 45s per cwt; fair to good. 41s fid to 44s per cwt; dark to dull, 38s to 39s per cwt. Beef: Sweet and/or mixed. 42s 6d to 44s ner cwt.; fair to good, 39s 6d to 42s 6d pe rcwt. ■ dark to dull, 38s to 38s 6d per cwt. Mixed; Fair to good, 39s 3d to 42s per cwt.; dark to dull. 37s 6d to 38s fid per cwt. Gut, etc.; 36s to 38s per cwt. Wool; Little more doing in Bradford this week, but users looking to London sales for clear indication of raw material position. Merino tops Id lower and others unchanged.
