RHINELAND EVACUATION
EXPERTS MUST FINISH THEIR WORK. BEFORE AGREEMENT CAN BE REACHED. (Received 6, 10.50 a.m.) Rugby, March 5. The opinion that no conclusions could be reached on the questions either of evacuation of the Rhineland or of disarmament, until the reparations experts had finished their labour in Paris, was put forward by Sir Austen Chamberlain to press representatives at Geneva. He considered that the question of the evacuation of the Rhineland was connected with the questions now being dealt with by the committee of experts in Paris, and he could not see how any agreement could be reached until the experts had finished their work. Everybody had the question of evacuation in mind, but the committee of experts finish their labours first
