As is well known art in recent years has been enlisted to provide publicity for industry and transport, and noted artists of many countries have been commissioned to give of their best in the production of pictorial art in the direction indicated. The result of this is that most excellent scenic and industrial pictures have been, and are still being displayed in the cities of Europe, familiarising the people with the attractions and trade of their own and other countries. Realising their value from an educational viewpoint. Miss Holland, principal of Woodford House, during her visit last year to Great Britain and the Continent selected a very large number of the best of these specimens of industrial art. and her collection is now on exhibition in the assembly hall at Woodford House. Miss Holland is desirous of affording the opportunity to the people of Hawke’s Bay of inspecting this excellent exhibition of international art. and to this end has thrown it open to the public for one week, the hours of attendance being between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Sunday included.
