REBEKAH LODGE No. 37. The usual meeting of the above Lodge was held last Thursday evening in the Lancaster Hall. Sister Hodgson, N.G., presiding over a good attendance of members. Motions of condolence were passed to Bro. Oulaghan nnd Bro. Bcott, who had both recently suffered bereavements. Two candidates were proposed for membership and three friends were initiated into the Rebekah degree. Two Sisters were reported on the sick list. This being first night of nomination of officers, a good team was selected and there will be some keen contests for the various positions. It was suggested in regard to the election of D. D.G.M. that P.N. Grands should have n vote, and that the matter be referred to Grand Lodge in session at Nelson. HERETAUNGA ENCAMPMENT. No. 10. Tiie monthly meeting of the above onnamnment was held last week, Brh. Geo. Graham .C.P.. presiding over a gond attendance of members. Correspondence was received from Bro. Hooper. D.D.G.S. in regard to Charter. A letter was received from Gisborne No 2 conveying fraternal greetings and stating their willingness to attend the next installation of officers. Motions of thanks to various officers for, donations, and work done for this encampment, were carried by acclamation. One enndidat., was Initiated into the second degree, the ceremony b“ing well carried out by the officers. Three Rre*tors wore proposed for mem. her ship.
