RIFLE SHOOTING

THE WAIPUKURAU CLUB. On the Mt. Vernon range ou Saturday the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club fired for the final round of Mrs J. W. Harding’s silver cup. A rear fishtail wind worried the marksmen somewhat, and upset some promising scores. Rifleman G. Robinson shot consistently and counted Rifleman E. T. Haldane out for first place. The latter wins the cup, however, with an aggregate of 180 out of 200. Details:—
