The heartiest outburst of spontaneous merriment heard for some time within the sombre walls of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth rippled round the room on Thursday afternoon. Counsel for the accused was making strenuous efforts to find out exactly when the latter had briefed his counsel and indicated what form he thought his defence should take. “When did you first consult your solicitors and tell them what the defence would be?” asked counsel. “When I consulted my lawyers it was to ask their advice about how to defend myself, not to tell them how to do it,” was the surprising rejoinder from the box. “I understand that’s what I was paying for.” The. idea] remedy for worms in children is Wade's Worm Figs.
