Confirming the Pope’s desire that the only residents of the Vatican State should he people indispensable to Vatican administration, Cardinal Gaspairl on Saturday issued an order formally rescinding all residential concessions and evicting all residents except those granted new concessions. Citizenship can only be granted those permanently residing therein and only ascendants, descendants and collateral relatives of such persons may live with them, provided they have no families of their own. All others must seek quarters outside immediately. The Pope ha« nominated a provisional government pending ratification of the treaty, after which he will nominate a Governor, probably a prelate, and also appoint a commissioner of works to deal with streets and buildings. Sengtore Marconi conferred with the Pope concerning the erection of a wireless station.
