HAWKE'S BAY JOCKEY CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING.

The committee of tire Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club met in the club’s rooms yesterday at 3 p.m. Present; Mr. G. Ebbett (chairman), Messrs J. H. Colebourne, A, Reid, J. Landels, T. H. Lowry, J. S. McLeod, M. Greenwood, H. A. Russeil, G. D. Beatson, 0. Nelson, T. Monin. Various correspondent was dealt with, and reports received and approved. Date of next committee meeting was fixed for Thursday, April 4. The programme of the winter race meeting was referred to a special meeting after April 20 when the programme for classic events will also be considered. A report on the racecourse was referred to a course committee meeting to be held on Thursday, March 7.

H.B. DISTRICT COMMITTEE. MEETING AT HASTINGS. The Hawke’s Bay District Com. mittee met in the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club rooms, Hastings, at 2.15 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs G. Ebbett (chairman), .1. H, 'Colebourne, G. D. Beateon, T. H. Lowry, J. S. McLeod, 0. E. Twist. Various correspondence was received from the New Zealand Racing Conference relating to licenses and engagements of lads in racing stables; also reports on various holders of licenses The date of election of representatives to the District Committee and Racing Conference was fixed as May 3.

It was decided to hold the next meeting of the District Committee on Thursday, April 4. Various clubs to be advised of altered daw. List of fines and'suspensions were received from Woodville Jockey Club, Gisborne Racing Club and Poverty Bay Turf Club, also inspectors’ reports. Application licenses were dealt with and referred to the conference licensing committee. NAPIER PARK WEIGHTS. Following are alterations in weights for the Napier Park meeting; Esk Hack Handicap: Clavers 7.9, Shot Silk 7.9. Napier Cup': Tresham 8.3. Redcliffo Hack Handicap: Topere 7.13. NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB. Horseowners and tlainers are reminded that acceptances for the whole of the first nay’s handicaps of the Napier Park Racing Club’s autumn meeting, also entries for the Maiden Hack Scurry, will close with the secretary, Mr. J. E. Gleadow, on Tuesday, March 5, at 8 p.m.
