TO-MORROW’S NEWMARKET.
The Newmarket Handicap to be run at Flemington to-morrow is pro. bably the medium of more money speculation than any other six furlongs race run in Australia, and tomorrow’s event will evidently prove no exception. Should nothing go wrong in the meantime, there need be no doubt about what will be favourite. Even before he beat Gothic last Saturday in the seven-furlong Futurity Stakes at Caulfield, Mollison was at very cramped odds for a contest of the kind, nothing better than 5 to 1 being on offer against him. Even at that there wet; plenty of hackers for the Seremon J welding, and by this time the rinr will probably have brought their quotation down to an almost prohibitive price. Not onlv has ho been heavily supported straight-out, hut big double liabilities have been incurred with almost everything seeming to have a chance in the Australian Cup. Thus it may lie expected that Mollison will be particularly “hot stuff’' in the course
