MAN LOST ON VOYAGE

MISSING BANK OFFICIAL. [Per Preu Association.] Auckland, Feb. 27. The disappearance of Mr. G. A. Campey, formerly of Auckland, from tho Manuka on her last voyage from Melbourne to Wellington, was reported to the Auckland branch of tho Bank of Australasia to-day. The master of the Manuka stated that Campey was reported missing at R a.m. on February 23. He was last seen on the vessel at 8 o’clock on tho previous evening, when he was promenading the deck. The sum of £B6 had been entrusted to tho care of the purser by the missing passenger. Mr. Campev was a member of tho staff of the Bank of Australasia in Melbourne, whence he was transferred from Auckland in July, 1928. He was due at Wellington last Sunday Tile missing bank officer was well known in Auckland, where he was employed for a long time. Mr. Cnmpey was between 30 and 40 years of age
