PETANE STOCK SALE. The Hawke’s Bay Stockbrokers’ Association report having held their monthly sale at Petane yesterday, when a large yarding Of sheep was offered. Bidding was not spirited, and many lines particularly lambs, were passed in. Prices were as follow:— Fat lambs 22s 6d to 24s Bd, fat eWes 19s, forward Wethers, 2-tooths 24s 4d to 19s. S.D. rape lambs to 19s lOd, shorn lambs 16s, S.D. shorn 18s lOd, m.a. ewes 19s, 5 and 6 year ewes to 17s Id, 16-month S.H. and H. cross steers £8 12s, 16-months S.H. and H. cross heifers £4 to £6 15 s, yearling P.A. steers £4 16s. The brokers report sales aS under:— Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd.—s fat ewes 19s, 141 m.a. ewes 19s, 68 wether lambs 18s 9d, 46 at 19s lOd, 68 m.s. lambs 15s, 29 at 4s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.—lB2 m.S. lambs 15s, 20 at 4s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Ltd.—lB2 m.s. lambs IPs, 123 shorn wether lambs 17s, 46 2-tooth wethers 266, 49 shorn S.D. lambs IBs lOd, 7 fat ewes 21s, 89 2-tooth wethers 25s 3d. Williams and Kettle.—3 fat lambs 255, 100 5-yr. ewes 17s Id, 20 fat ewes 21s, 108 lambs 17s, 113 at 10s, 20 cull lambs 10s 6d, 49 at fis, 1 at 16s, 23 ewe lambs 18s 85 wethers 24s 4d, 38 at 23s 9d 7 In to 18-month steers £lB 12s, 2 at £4 168, Oheifcrs £6 18s, 1 at £4.
