The Anglo-Chinese treaty, signed at Manking on December 20th. and now released by the Foreign Office reveals the abrogation of all existing treaties limiting tho right of China to settle her national customs tariff or to impose tonnage dues in accordance with her own desires. An annexe provides a similar renunciation on behalf of the Dominions, including Australia and New Zealand, of any such rights. China, in return, grants to Britain and the Dominions most favoured nation treatment.
