While riding to his work on Friday morning on a farm at Pohangina, Henry Shadbolt, aged 60, suffered a misty accident. His horse apparently fell with him in rough country and Shadholt lay exposed to rain and later a hot sun for 14 hours with a fractured thigh and injuries to the other leg He was found semi-con-scious on Friday evening by a search party and taken to hospital.
