NOW AN INTRUDER
“Tempora mutantur et nos mutamur in illis,” the old Latin proverb has it. And this is being exemplified in London. A few years ago man's friend the horse regarded the motorear as a nuisance and an intruder. To-day the tables are turner!. Horsedrawn vehicles are causing such delay to traffic that special legislation is foreseen to meet the exigencies of the case. The loss to London in traffic delays is reported to amount to the huge sum of £40,000,000.
