Conspiracy was alleged in a case heard by Mr. Justice Adams at the Supreme Court yesterday, the Dominion Motors, Ltd., (Wellington) being plaintiff and John Fleming and Sarah Jane Fleming defendants. It was alleged on behalf of plaintiff that George Wilcox, a motor dealer, became indebted to the plaintiff for £4IXIO in October, 1927. Plaintiff required Wilcox to supply security, and he promised to obtain guarantees from John Fleming, his father-in-law. Wilcox subsequently furnished a guarantee signed S. J. Fleming. The signature was that oi Sarah Jane Fleming, but was represented to be that of John Fleming. It was alleged that the two defendants had conspired to defraud the company by representing the signature to be that of John Fleming. The plaintiff company, in consequence of the guarantee, supplied the goods to Wilcox. The company claimed £2OOO damages from the defendants. The hearing was adjourned till today. Salads are crisp and delicious when served with SHARLAND’S TABLE VINEGAR. Brewed from pure cane sugar. Free from mineral acids. In bulk and bottle.
