THANKS AND FAREWELL,

(To the Editor.) Sir, —My happy times as an ex change teacher in Hastings are now at an end, for on Monday next I commence duty at Elmwood School, Christchurch. I want to thank all those kind friends in Hastings, who, since January, have shown me such kindness by inviting me to thei:’ homes, to dances and to parties, and picnics. In the course of my travels I never have met more hospitable people than the good folk of Hastings and I find myself leaving Hastings very regretfully. Often, when I am back in London, I shall look backward with pleasure to my stay in Progressive Hastings.—l am, etc., W. J. LESTER CROSS, London, Exchange Teacher. Parkvale School, Hastings, 12/9/28.
