PRINCES’ TOUR

ARRIVAL AT CAIRO RECEIVED BY THE GOVERNOR, TRIP UP THE NILE IN KING FUAD’S YACHT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 14. 12.30 p.m.) Rugby, .Sepember 13. The Prince of W ales and his brother. the Duke of Gloucester, arrived at Cairo from Alexandra. Their Royal Highnesses had travelled in a special tram provided by the Egyptian Government. In accordance with the desire of the Prince ot Wales for informality, there was no guard of honour or ceremony of welcome. The Governor of Cairo officially received the Princes, and high British officers, who were in mufti, and the British Consul were also present. The Princes, who were attired as ordinary tourists in grey flannel suite with topees, immediately left -he station. The Prince of Wales motored to the camp of the 12th Lancers at Helmieh, while the Duke of Gloucester motored to King Fuad’s yacht, on which the Princes will make the journey up the Nile. Their Royal Highnesses received « great ovation from large crowds. After riding round the 12th Lancers' camp and visiting the officers’ mess, the Prince of Wales joined his brother on King Fuad’s ( vacht. The yacht has been magnificently fur, nished for the occasion.
