Davidson, M.P., has presided at the executive of the National Union of Conservative Associations This, together with a private conference, shows that Mr. Baldwin has no intention of resigning and is anxious to go to the country with the appearance of a united harmonious Ministry. If the Conservatives are returned it has been decided that there will be a complete overhaul of the Cabinet and the inclusion of new and younger men Sir Austen Chamberlain’s retirement from the Foreign Office is a certainty. He may be given a lighter office if his health is restored, such ns the Privy Seal. Lord Cushendun’s claims for the Foreign Office are apparent but he will have to overcome powerful opposition.
