WAIPAWA.

The vital statistics for the Waipawa district for July were as follows; Births 1, deaths 4, marriages 1. For the same period of 1927 the registrations, respectively, were 9. 8 and 1. A very old and esteemed resident of the district in tli_e person of Mrs Robb, relict of the late Alexander Robb, passed away at her son’s residence on Wednesday last, and her mortal remains were laid to rent in the Hadley cemetery, Waipawa, on Friday, the Revd, F. W. Robertson officiating at the graveside. The deceased, who hailed from Scotland, spent the whole of her 60 years’ colonial life in this district and won the esteem of a large circle of friends for her kindly disposition. She leaves two sons—Mr. A. Robb, Ruataniwha, and Mr. H. Robb. Onga Onga, to mourn her lose. One son (Jack) was killed in the war.
