H.M.S. DIOMEDE
REFITTING AT PORTSMOUTH. [Times Cable.] (Received 4, 9.5 a.m.) London, Aug. 3. The New Zealand cruiser Diomede the crew of which has been paid off* was partly recommissioned on June 19th.-She is at present refitting, pending receipt of the remainder of her complement. She leaves Portsmouth for New Zealand, via Panama on September sth, arriving in the middle of Novcm< her. Repairs to the Australian submarines Otway and Oxley at the Malta dockyard should be completed by September 8. They are expected to be seaworthy early in November.
