“VICTORY FOR HEENEY”

AMERICAN WRITER’S PREDICTION MORE ENDURANCE THAN TUNNEY. (United Press Association—By CableCopyright.) [Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 14, 1.20 p.m.) New York, July 13. The sports writer, McAuliffe, undefeated lightweight champion, predicts a victory for Tom Heeney. He says Heeney has more 'endurance./than Tunney and will wear him down and win the decision at the end of fifteen rounds.

“I don’t think Heeney has the punch to knock out Tunney but he is apt to maul the champion pretty badly. The last five rounds of the coming bout will tell more on Tunney than on a ‘regular fellow’ like Heeney, who is used to going twenty.”
