THE WEST INDIES TEST. ENGLAND OPENS WITH 8 FOR 382. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) London, June 24. On the opening day of the test match between England and West Indies, the former lost eight wickets for 382—E. Tyldesley 122, Chapman 50. Tyldesley was scratchy throughout, Hammond and Jardine giving the bdst display. The bowling of Constantine and Francis, combined with excellent slip fielding, restrained the scoring.
