Owing to the omission of a line in the report of Dr. Reeve’s lecture on “Common Errors,” delivered in Hastings last Thursday, quite a wrong impression was conveyed regaramg his declaration with respect to the use of anti-toxin in connection with eases of diphtheria Dr. Reeve said; “I want you to carry away this fact, if you carry away nothing else from these lectures, that it is a common error to believe that diphtheria antitoxin is dangerous I assure you that diphtheria anti-toxin is not dangerous and that it does not affect the heart.’’ Dr. Reeve made it quite plain through lu’s lecture that the administration of anti-toxin leaves Ho illeffegts.
