EFFORT TO SECURE PUBLIQ HALL.

Every effort is being made bv the Greenmeadows residents te have a public hall for the district, and on Thursday night a most enthusiastic meeting of the members of the Progressive League was held with a view to ascertaining what support such a proposal would receive. About £BO in cash and labour were promised in the room. < At the present the residents are indebted to Mr Badley for the placing of his large store-room at their disposal for any form of imertainment. )
