Judged by the record attendances at the International Motor Show being held in Melbourne, the public are displaying increased’interest in motor transport. Keen competition seems to be the feature of the show British, American and European motor car manufacturers are keenly seeking the patronage and custom of the Australian. Feminine interest appears to centre in those luxurious models which incorporate every feature of modern automobile refinement, event to gold-plated mirrors and van-1 ity cases. By their attention to purely decorative effort, many manufacturers seem to have appreciated that axiom of salesmanship which teaches that the woman in the ease often is the last court cf appeal when a prospective buyer is bewildered by the responsibility of selecting a car from so many makes, for all of which the utmost in efficiency and comfort is claimed. Hence the development of cars calculated to appeal to the feminine taste.
