BIG DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS MEASURE FOR COMING SESSION. (Pe* Press Association!. Wellington, May 24. The resolutions of the annual Conference of the New Zealand Alliance were placed before the Premier, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, and the Minister of Health, the Hon. J. A. Young, to-day by a deputation some hundreds strong. The speakers asked for the bare majority, a two-issue ballot paper, the introduction of the Licensing Bill early in the coming session, and that it be given a free passage. Replying, Mr. Coates said he considered it his duty to enable Parliament again to consider the question and confessed! his nervousness lest prohibition, if passed, should not be fully complied with.
