When the case against the Anglican minister aged 49. which was adjourned last week at Wellington, was called yesterday before Mr E. Page. 8.M., Mr A. Gray, K.C.. who appeared on the accused's behalf, said he regretted he had received information during the last few minutes that the accused had met with a serious accident. Dr. Brown had been called in at 10.30 o’clock when it was found that th© accused had fallen and broken his thigh. He had been sent to hospital where he was likely to remain for three months. He asked for a formal remand until the position was definite. Mr. Macassey suggested that the patient’s condition be ascertained after a fortnight. Mr. Page agreed and a remand was granted for a fortnight, further application, if necessary, then to be made.
