The Hawke’s Bay County Council today unanimously decided to nominate Dr. H. M. Wilson, of Hastings, as one of its representatives on the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board, to fill the vacancy caused bv the resignation of Mr W. Shrimpton after many years’ service. Th e nomination has yet to be approved by both the Tara, dale and Havelock North Town Boards. Mr H. M. Campbell. M.P. chairman, pointed out that Dr Wilson had recently been to America and to Australia, and was taking a very kee n interest in hospital matters. At today’s meeting of the Hawke’s Bay County Council on tho motion of Mr T. E. Crosse, it was decided to write to Mr W. Shrimpton, expressing the Council’s regret at losing his services after he had s 0 ably represented them on the Hospital Board for so many years. Mr T. Mason Chambers said there was no man who had taken a greater Interest or done more for the Napier Hosuitnl than Mr Shrimpton. Mr IT. M, Campbell said Mr Shrimptoil had dong wonderful work.
