A man walked into Jenness and Partridge’s jewellers. Manners street, Wellington, yesterday, representing himself to be a racehorse owner, and asked to see a diamond ring valued at £750. He took it to the door as though to see it in a better light and bolted. He was later found in an hotel bar displaying the ring, and was arrested.
