ABDOOL NABEE KN.
ANOTHER APPEARANCE IN COURT. REMANDED FOR A MONTH. (Per Press' As-oclationi. Gisborne, March, 20. Abdool Nabee Sultan Kn, who, because of threats by Lascar shipmates on the Argyllshire was brought ashore at Gisborne on March 10 for his own protection, was again before the court this morning on a charge of assaulting Toherilla Annis Manmad. The police intimated that, they would offer no evidence and the charge was withdrawn. Abdool was then charged with landing in New Zealanl without a permit, he being an alien, counsel explained that the man was brought ashore for his own safety. The other charge could not be proceeded with as Abdool luid been guilty of no offend but was not entitled to be released and the only thing waa to keep him here till the departure of the boat for Sydney, thence he would be sent to Rangoon. Although he had done no wrong he would have to be kept in custody. Accused was remanded for n month on the understanding that the charge would be withdrawn when a boat waa available to convey him away.
