Her mends adored her, her enemies hated her, but all could. do nothing but admire her—this woman they called “la belle Pompadour!” If you would see a tale of romance, such a story as you may have dreamed of, —you are advised to watch the screen at the Cosy where Dorothy Gish is seen as the woman who played with nations, and wrecked havoc with the hearts of men. Antonio Moreno plays a featured role as rhe Pompadour’s poet lover. Also showing is “The Love Thrill,” the Universal-Jewel farce-comedy which brings together some of the leading comedians of the screen. Laura La Plante, pretty blonde comedienne, is in the starring role and Tom Moore, hero of a hundred kuorous farces, is in the lead opposite her. Bryant Washburn, former farce star in hi» own productions, Nat Carr, comedian of both stage ancl screen, Arthur Hoyt well-known character actor Frank Finch Smiles and several other players of note are to be seen in the prominent roles.
