COMPREHENSIVE TOUB OF ENGLAND. Rugtry, March 18. The King and Queen dined last night with the Kiug and Queen of Arghanistan at the Legation, To-dav the Royal visitors begin their unofficial tour, which is of a most comprehensive character. The King left Claridge's Hotel at noou and proceeded by rail to Birmingham, where, alter a reception by the Lord Mayor, lie visited the Small Arms Company s woiks and inspected other centres of industrial activity. The Queeu this alteinouu paid a surprise visit to the Ideal Honiv Exhibition at Olympia. Thus, while Amanullah was inspecting works and factories at Birmingham, hi„ Queen was getting an insight into English home life in its most up-to-date features. Although no official announcement was made of her intended visit, when she arrived a jaige cluwd was waiting to greet her. The first exhibition which the Queen inspected was a house of the future, a Utopian residence, in which are visualised many of the wonders which it is anticipated wil; add to the daily comforts of housenolders in the year 2000. Dukes of Afghanistan are the titles King Amanullah conferred on President von Hindenburg and Dr. Marx. Both the honours, also red siik capes, w-ere conveyed diplomatically after the departure of Amanullah. When it wa s explained to him that the Republican regime prevented their acceptance from Amanullah personally. President von Hindenburg and Dr. Marx accepted the distinctions as souvenirs of the Royal visit. The Afghan Legation denies the rumour that the King is cancelling his Russian visit or that there is any reason to hasten his return to Kabul. --(A. and N.Za
