ST. MARY’S GARDEN PARTY. A garden party was held at St. Mary s Vicarage, W’aipukurau, on Saturdav under the auspices of the St. Mary’s Anglican Church 'There was a very good attendance, whilst the weather was ideal. The numerous attractions were well patronised. The Waipukurau Town Band rendered an appreciated programme. '1 lie monthly meeting of the Patahgata County Council takes place nt Waipukurau tomorrow. Waipukurau experienced welcome showers in the early hours of vesterdav morning, followed bv intermittent ones during Sunday. The drop in the temperature which accompanied the arrival of the rain was very welcome after the intense heat of the past two months.
