HASTINGS OUTINC. SPORTS PROGRAMME. Some sixty officers of the Post and Telegraph service, with their wives, families and friends, left Hastings yesterday morning by buses lor Dartmoor, Puketapu, on their annual picnic. The day was beautifully fine and the camping ground, beside a delightful swimming pool, proved an ideal location for the party, the members of which enjoyed themselves swimming, racing, playing games, and. at intervals, partaking of refreshments to renew their energies. An excellent sports programme was gone through and everyone abandoned herself and himself to the fun of the moment. Following are the results of the races:— Message hoys. 100 yards.—R. M. Wardrop 1.
