HASTINGS CLUB AN INTERESTING MATCH An interesting match between two teams selected from the II grade players of the Hastings Tennis Club took place on Saturday. The following are the results, A section players being mentioned first:— Men’s Singles.—Murray lost to Kirkpatrick 2—9; Averill beat Chambers, 9—7; McDonald lost to Bramwell, 6—9; Scrivener beat Shopherd, 9—4. Ladies’ Singles,—Mrs. Rigby beat Miss B. Woodward, 9—3; Miss Budd beat Miss Pinckney, 9—2; Mrs. Coles beat Miss Garnett 9—7; Mrs. Scrivener lost to Miss Hogg, 6—9. Men’s Doubles.—Averill anil McDonald lost to Kirkpatrick and Chambers, 2—9; Murray and Scrivener beat Bramwell and Shepherd, 9—5. Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs. Rigby and Miss Budd beat Misses Woodward and Pinckney, 9—3; Mrs. Coles and Mrs. Scrivener beat Misses Garnett and Hogg, 9—5.
