WARATAHS RETURNING HOME. RECORD OF THEIR MATCHES. Manifestations of goodwill and farewells have been given to and by the Waratahs, who are now on their way to Australia after touring the British Isles and France. While the Waratahs have not met with success equal to that enjoyed by a few of the other Dominion Rugby teams that have undertaken similar visits, the.\ have, on the whole, done very well. Their record compares quite favourably with the Wallabies, the first Australian visitors, and yitli the second Springbok visit. This week’s cables stated that the Waratahs have proved the most popular Colonial Rugby team that has ever toured the Old Country, and that the estimated profits from their matches greatly exceeds that of the all-con-quering All Blacks of 1924. In the British Isles, they played 28 matches, won 22, lost four and two were drawn. They scored 400 points compared with 177 recorded against them. The record of the 1924 All Blacks was:—Played 28. won 28, points for 654, points against 98. The Waratahs were defeated by Scotland. England. Oxford University and Pontypool in England, while they were also beaten by South-west France across the Channel. Strangely enough, two games were played against London, both in rain, and each match was a bloodless draw. COMPARISON OF TOURS. The following table show's how the Colonial teams fared in their various visits to the Home Country, the matches in France being included: —
