The craze to get the body brown made many a man and woman regret the folly which prompted them to g • in for sun-bathing. The sun is a great medicine for the body, but anyone who suddenly exposes his body to the fierce rays of the sun can expect to bo badly burnt. There is hardly a swimmer who has not suffered at some time ur other, but experience is « great teacher. Those who go in for sun-bathing should do it gradually. The tan which the skin acquires after a time is protection from ths fiercest sun. Those who have suffered with sunburn extol the values of carron oil ia removing the heat from ’he body.
